First Davis Cup Finals by Kosmos Tennis and ITF closes in style
The first edition of the Davis Cup Finals closed the tennis season in style with a historic event that marked the start of a new format. More than 100,000 people visited the Caja Mágica during the competition week, with Spain crowned as new champions.

Kosmos Tennis and all its staff have overseen the organisation of this revised competition concept that begins a new era for the Davis Cup as one of the big sporting events of the year.

On 16 August 2018, in Orlando, the International Tennis Federation (ITF) AGM voted in favour of the ITF and Kosmos’ transformational reforms, which will secure the long-term status of the competition.

The 25-year agreement represents a total investment of US $3 billion into tennis, creating substantial and historic levels of investment into the global development of the sport through the ITF and member National Associations.
